Who We Are
Guess The Tail Light is a free daily car identification puzzle game available at guessthecarquiz.com. The game is independently operated by a single developer. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@guessthecarquiz.com.
What Data We Collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Here is exactly what is collected and why:
Local Storage (Your Browser)
The game saves your scores, streak, level, achievements and game progress using your browser's localStorage. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not sent to any server
- Is not accessible to us or anyone else
- Can be cleared at any time through your browser settings
We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to play.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed, how long people play, and which devices and browsers are used. Google Analytics collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device type, browser and screen size
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, not your address)
- Referral source (how you found the site)
This data is aggregated and anonymous. We cannot identify you personally from it. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google search results. This is a webmaster tool that operates entirely on Google's side — it does not place any cookies or tracking code on your device, and it does not collect any data from you directly.
Cookies
The game itself does not set any cookies. However, Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish visitors and track sessions. These are first-party cookies set by Google's analytics script. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service with access to visitor data is:
- Google Analytics — for anonymous usage statistics, as described above
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any other parties.
Children's Privacy
Guess The Tail Light is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no personal information is collected from any user, this concern does not arise in practice.
Data Retention
Your game data lives in your browser's localStorage and persists until you clear it. We have no access to it and cannot delete it on your behalf.
Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings (14 months by default), after which it is automatically deleted.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically no personal data to request, correct, or delete. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at support@guessthecarquiz.com.
To remove your game progress, clear your browser's localStorage for this site through your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
